A kettle costs two pelts. What does the stream pay?
Before the trade, a family trapped what it needed. Now every pelt buys something — and the beaver pay for it. Set how many pelts the community trades each year and watch the beaver on its trapping grounds over the decades. The population model is simulated; the pattern is what happened near every post by 1700.

Above the line the stream can replace, the beaver vanish and the family paddles farther into another nation’s grounds — competition for fur country, and lost lands for living (A3.5). Below it, the trade lasts. Two ways of using the land, on one slider.
