Idea 13of 22Builds onEach view rules out more buildings

Build a building from its three views

How do you build a building when you only have its drawings?

Today you'll discover

  • where to start
  • how the side and front views set the heights
  • how to check your building

Think firstFront 3, 1, 1. Side 2, 3. Top: 4 squares.

The top view has 4 squares. Which one must hold the stack of 3?

Decide first, then press Next. Use the side view to find the row, and the top view to find the square.

Down the left, three views: a top view of 4 squares in an L, a front view of columns 3, 1, 1 and a side view of 2 then 3. On the right, the building is built cube by cube: a stack of 3 at the back left and a front row of 2, 1, 1. Ticks appear by each view. The last step shows the three views of an arch.
