Think first4 quarters fill one whole

4 quarters fill one whole. How many quarters fit in 3 wholes?

Decide first, then press Next. Look at one whole, then at all of them.

Three bars, each one whole, cut into quarters, with a single quarter set apart underneath. At the right of each bar: 4 quarters. Then the quarters numbered 1 to 12 and the sentence 3 ÷ 1/4 = 12. The last step shows 5 wholes cut into halves.
